new year new challenges

so it’s almost that time again- time to make a to-do list for the year ahead and give ourselves some goals and objectives for 2015…

mine are always pretty similar and to be honest, on reflection of 2014, some of mine weren’t actually completed…but for good reasons mostly!

2014 meant I STILL haven’t learned to drive, I haven’t finished my masters- well year 1 is done almost- and I didn’t get to travel much really at all!

so this year here are my little wishes/challenges/to-do’s…

– finish my masters

– qualify as an advanced sports nutritional advisor

– finally- FINALLY- learn to drive

– make gym bunny bigger and better

– release my second e-book

– get better at public speaking

– get comfortable in front of the camera

– travel more- dubrovnik, gothenburg, london, new york and rome would be awesome 🙂

– become more flexible- i’d love to be able to do handstands and fall into a crab position!

– start using my camera again

– give time to learning the guitar

– become a little better at work/life balance

new year, new new year’s resolutions

so it’s that time of year again peoples…

let it go

putting together a to-do list is one of my all-time favourite things to do- yes, i’m a total and absolute loser but i do love a good list as much as the next OCD female…

here are a few things i have learned this year, some quite very recently and some things i need to mull over and change or take on for this coming year too!

  • people will talk about you no matter what you do and you can do nothing about it. prove yourself to yourself 🙂
  • nobody is in charge of my happiness except me. not one other person.
  • feeling healthy feels better than anything else in the world. i don’t want this to change.

  • eat clean, train like an animal and feel 110% on the beach next summer!
  • you can’t change people but you can help them grow, likewise for me 🙂
  • i need to stop over-thinking as a wandering mind is a dangerous mind for little me.
  • i need to save a little more. last year i started off quite good but didn’t end up so good- oopsie!
  • 2014 is the year of the hobbies- getting fitter, healthier, stronger and taking lots of time for me- taking photos, playing (trying to play) my guitar and learning learning learning.
  • hand in my final digital marketing assignment and get stuck into my certificate in nutrition 🙂 wuhu back to school again 🙂
  • get my website up and running and put 500% into it- woooohuuu!
  • start my new job and give it everything 🙂
  • everything doesn’t need to be perfect all the time. this one is rotten.
  • go somewhere totally different- fun, new and beautiful!

  • push myself- stop the silly procrastination that can happen with our species more often than not. be more decisive.
  • stop being such a scary driver!
  • learn to relax a little more- i’m reaaaaaally bad at doing nothing- it kills me!!!
  • get a bike and hope for a very sunny summer 🙂

absorb my new nutrition book
sleep more – relax more –
gym/yoga or some form of workout three times a week to keep the inner beast tame
start ballet barre or pilates
try a relaxing weekend away doing nothing
use my fricken guitar
get away on more weekends to new places
get my project gym bunny on the road to awesome
visit everyone ❤️

new year, new to-do list…

so i’m obsessive about to-do lists. anyone who knows me knows that much…

so for 2013 i couldn’t wait to get my hands on a nerdy new moleskine (notes on an iphone simply don’t cut it) and start scribbling for the new year.

here’s what i came up with:

more travelling– already planning a trip to zakynthos with the girls and possibly a trip to new york and miami is on the cards although wouldn’t mind another sunny break after the summer…and dream of new zealand to visit kiri, brian and sophie and australia to visit nicole, maria & steen wuhu! need to start saving asap meh…

more learning- enrolled myself in a masters in digital marketing starting february 19th so i can be an even nerdier nerd and learn more ‘onliney stuff’ to keep my brain ticking over. next task is new desk but might have to draft some help to put that one together eek!

learn something new- got a guitar for my birthday from my brother and dad so going to get cracking on this pretty soon 🙂

challenge myself- started bikram yoga this week  at init yoga and it’s awesome! very tough but feel like i have totally pushed myself after each class…i’m still pretty crap so hoping it get’s a little easier…or i get a little better! 🙂

get moving- need to finish learning to drive, pass my test and get a little crash dummy to drive around…thinking a mini one or mini cooper or maybe a fiat 500? also thinking of getting myself some two wheeled transport…

more fun weekends- not necessarily boozy weekends but i finally need to address that i didn’t get to see everyone who lives abroad who i love and miss in 2012 😦 so need to get cracking on booking weekends to edinburgh, london, reading, cardiff, krakow and gothenburg for 2013 wuhu!! also with the new-old-wheels i’ll be able to host some little roadtrips. win!

just try and be a little healthier- eat more foods with no labels, drink more water and less caffeine, cut down on processed foods etc…maybe it’s easy to say but i also need to learn to be a little more proactive with my time as i tend to procrastinate over the teeniest tiniest things so need to get on with the show a little more, maximise my time and get the balance a little better…

this list will continue after I step in some puddles in new shoes or my umbrella flies away in the wind.

 

lottery winnings- what i’m going to do…

what to do…

so i have that tuesday feeling….i just bought my euromillions ticket and know that this time i have it in the bag…the numbers feel right, there’s a smell of fresh wads of cash on the way and i’m worrying now that if my wicked plan does come to fruition, i’m simply just not prepared…

so in the more than likely event that tomorrow is my night, this is what i’m going to do:

  • tell EVERYONE muahahaha
  • donate to hospice and cancer research
  • buy a walk-in wardrobe
  • fill said wardrobe with everything i want
  • bring the girls on a holiday, pamper, shop and cocktails
  • bring family away somewhere lovely
  • pay off all family mortgages and fill account with fun mon’
  • buy a sound proof room or max’s music
  • b&b on the island of formentera, near ibiza
  • do courses in everything i want to: photography, marketing, social media, baking, cooking, pottery…you name it…
  • do a clothes dash in topshop on oxford street wuuuuuhuuu
  • holiday in thailand, vietnam, cambodia and laos, followed by a shopping and pampering trip in NY
  • perfect my spanish, learn some new languages
  • win the lottery again. just to rub it in your faces.
